It connects to your stereo and TV and allows the iPod to become an integral part of the home entertainment system. Users can synchronize with a Windows or Macintosh computer running iTunes over an 802.11g wireless network so there is no need to move the iPod back to the computer every time you want to transfer new songs or videos. The included software allows easy configuration of wiDock. The software wizard walks the user through the configuration settings and puts a configuration file on the iPod which configures wiDock automatically the first time you plug the iPod in. If there are more than one iPod in the same house, the wiDock software allows each iPod to connect and synchronize with a different computer.

The 8-inch subwoofer, designed specifically for this system, has a built-in Class D amplifier that distributes 200 watts of peak system power to successfully drive all the channels. It also features a slot port and line level input.

A unique tuning approach is used to achieve a sound character typically found in much larger subwoofer boxes. The radio frequency remote can send signals through walls and floors and up to six remotes can be used to control the iFi and a docked iPod from virtually anywhere in the home.
